A few years ago, I visited a craft cocktail bar in Nashville called Attaboy. This bar was unique in that they had no menus. The staff would ask you a few questions about what type of experience you were in the mood for, if you enjoyed various flavor profiles, or if you'd ever tasted some obscure ingredient before. They'd then create for you a cocktail unique to your preferences of the moment. What they served me was perfect, and I immediately thought to myself, "someone needs to do this with food."
